Helping Starts Here.
We run a full service community kitchen every Wednesday. We are in great need of many non-perishable food items as well as monitary contributions in order to aquire fresh produce and meats.
Donations are what fund our program. We receive no state or government funding. We opperate on a minimal budget provided by private citizens and local businesses right here in Dekalb County. 100% of all money raised goes back into our community.
Check’s can be mailed to us at 122 South First Street in Dekalb. Cash donations can be dropped off during normal meal hours or call us to arrange a pick up.

There is a small drop box in the lobby of our building at 122 South First. Small donations can be left here during normal business hours. Larger donations can be dropped off on meal days between 1pm and 8pm. If you’d like to arrange pick up or another drop off time, please call us at 815 310 0903.
Guidelines for donating food:
- Please check all items for expiration dates.
- Please no rusty, or dented cans. Small punctures contaminate the contents and are not usable.
- Please only cans with labels.
- Please no opened or partially used food products
To donate clothing:
There is a small drop box in the lobby of our building at 122 South First. Small donations can be left here during normal business hours. Larger donations can be dropped off on meal days between 1pm and 8pm. If you’d like to arrange pick up or another drop off time, please call us at 815 310 0903.
Guidelines for donating clothing:
- We cannot use clothing with excessive wear, staining, bleach spots or paint drips, rips or tears. A good question to ask yourself before donating is “Would you purchase this from a local thrift store in this condition?”
- We appreciate freshly washed, clean clothing
- Shoes, Belts, purses, hats and accessories are welcomed donations
- Please no underwear unless it is new in it’s packaging
- Fashion is a personal choice, but please refrain from donating “risque” articles of clothing, or other items that could end up on a reality show called “Fashion Nightmares”
- We appreciate your donations. Processing incoming clothing donations is a lot of work. We have limited storage space and volunteers so following these guidelines strictly will not only help us find homes for your donations faster, but ensure that people are getting good quality clothing.
